Neil Christians has more than 22 years in Children, Youth and Family Ministry at churches in Minnesota, Texas and North Carolina. As an Associate in Ministry with a master’s degree in Children, Youth and Family Ministry, Neil is passionate about helping others discover their own gifts for ministry and to grow as leaders. Michelle has been a part of the Camp Hope family since 2006. Michelle has a bachelors degree in theology concentration Youth and Family Ministry from Texas Lutheran University. She also has a Masters of Arts degree in Children, Youth and Family Ministries from Luther Seminary. Michelle works with families to minister to children and youth from ages birth through adult at Messiah Lutheran Church in Cypress, TX. My name is Kayla Mulkey. I’ve been a part of Camp Hope since 2001, as a camper, a staff member, manager and now I am part of the training team and curriculum team. I also was a part of starting Camp Hope at a new congregation with my home church Kinsmen Lutheran and partnering with Princepe de Paz. And I was a LEAD intern and worked with Principe de Paz for their second year of camp hope.

Ben grew up at Kinsmen Lutheran Church in north Houston. Currently Ben is called to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Rice Village in Houston. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Development and Family Studies with a minor in counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton. He earned his Master of Arts in Youth, Culture, and Mission from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He is an Associate in Ministry (AiM) on the roster of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Ben’s call into ministry grew from his work with Camp Hope Ministry. He began as a junior high student working summers at Camp Hope since 1999 and continued to serve there as part of the support staff, camp counselor, camp manager, and trainer. The emphasis of his mission is to provide opportunities for children, youth, and families to discover the love and calling that God has for all people. He guides youth in discovering their gifts for ministry and helps them share those gifts with the community. Ben loves riding his motorcycle, playing volleyball, board games, and fishing. He’s also an avid comic book collector and reader, a fascination he’s enjoyed for over 22 years. [read more...]
Jim is a senior at Sam Houston State University majoring in Criminal Justice. He is currently a firefighter/EMT and plans on becoming a police officer after graduation. Kristen has helped with Camp Hope and youth ministry at Kinsmen Lutheran Church in Houston Texas as a volunteer for several years.
