In response to the many faith communities who are not able to gather in-person due to the pandemic, our Camp Hope staff wants to offer an opportunity to grow faith in your home. This is for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or whomever is in your “COVID Bubble” to engage the children in your life in the faith stories of Scripture.
Camp Hope is designed for experiencing Bible stories in several different ways throughout the day. In this edition, children will hear the story in Storytelling and do related activities in Art, Snack, Games, and either STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or Imaginarium (drama). Each of these activities is followed by a section called DRAG BIG. This is where you as the leader connect the activity to the Bible story. After you ask the questions, if needed leave time for the children to think – silence for a minute or two is okay!
You will receive materials for five separate “days” of Camp Hope. We anticipate the material will take up about 2 hours per day. The general flow of a camp day is: Opening, Storytelling, Art, STEM or Imaginarium, Snack, Games, Review, Closing.
